The rock jaw crusher features a crushing chamber formed by two jaw plates—one movable and one stationary—and performs material crushing by simulating the movement of an animal’s jaws.
Primarily used for primary crushing of various ores and large materials, it is the most common equipment for the initial crushing stage in mining production lines. It accommodates feed sizes ranging from 125 mm to 1,200 mm and offers a discharge opening adjustment range of 10 mm to 350 mm. A single unit can achieve a production capacity of up to 1,000 tons per hour.

Jaw Rock Crusher Machine Working Principle
Key components of the rock jaw crusher include the frame, fixed jaw plate, movable jaw plate, eccentric shaft, flywheel, toggle plate, and adjustment system.
During operation, the electric motor drives the eccentric shaft to rotate via a pulley, causing the movable jaw to periodically approach and recede from the fixed jaw. As the movable jaw plate moves toward the fixed jaw plate, the ore situated between them is crushed through the combined action of compression, splitting, and grinding. When the movable jaw plate moves away from the fixed jaw plate, the material—now crushed to the required particle size—is discharged through the crusher’s discharge opening under the force of gravity.
