Jaw Stone Crusher
The jaw stone crusher is a core piece of equipment used for the primary and secondary crushing of medium-hard materials. It crushes various ores and large stone blocks—such as river pebbles, granite, and construction waste—with compressive strengths ranging from 147 to 245 MPa.
- Capacity: 5-1000t/h
- Feed Size: ≤ 1200mm
- Output Size: 20-350 mm
The stone jaw crusher is an indispensable piece of equipment for crushing ore. This stone crusher can process over 200 types of soft and hard stone materials with feed sizes up to 1,200 mm. It is widely used in large-scale stone processing plants and for handling large stone materials, often serving as primary crushing equipment in large-scale aggregate production lines, as well as in open-pit and underground mining operations.
Jaw Stone Crusher Machine Working Principle
A jaw crusher operates in a repeating two-stage cycle: compression crushing and material discharge. Upon startup, the motor drives the belt and pulley, causing the eccentric shaft to rotate. This rotation converts into a periodic up-and-down swinging motion of the movable jaw.
As the movable jaw rises, the angle between the toggle plate and the movable jaw increases, pushing the movable jaw plate toward the fixed jaw plate. During this phase, the two jaw plates subject material within the crushing chamber to compression, splitting, and grinding forces, crushing materials with a compressive strength of up to 320 MPa.

When the movable jaw descends, the angle between the toggle plate and the movable jaw decreases. Actuated by the tension rod and spring, the movable jaw plate moves away from the fixed jaw plate, thereby enlarging the space within the crushing chamber. Material that has been crushed to the required particle size then discharges freely through the outlet at the bottom of the chamber under the force of gravity.
As the motor continues to run, the movable jaw performs continuous, periodic crushing and discharging actions, enabling the continuous, batch-wise crushing of material.
Features of the Stone Jaw Crusher
1) Composite Crushing Chamber Design
- Features a multi-stage, toothed liner configuration. Progressive compression crushing between the swing jaw and fixed jaw effectively reduces the rate of material over-crushing and improves the uniformity of the finished product.
- A wear-resistant buffer layer is added to the bottom of the crushing chamber to extend the service life of critical components.
2) High-Efficiency, Energy-Saving Structure
- The heavy-duty eccentric shaft features a design optimized via finite element analysis. Rotational inertia is reduced by 15%, and energy consumption is 8%–12% lower than that of traditional models.
- Equipped with a variable-frequency drive (VFD) motor. Operating speed can be adjusted based on production requirements to balance energy consumption and output.
3) User-Friendly Operation and Maintenance Design
- All access ports utilize a quick-release structure, reducing maintenance time by over 30%.
- The standardized lubrication system features automatic grease injection, lowering manual maintenance costs.

Jaw Stone Crushers Applications
- Mining Sector: Used for the primary crushing of metallic ores, non-metallic ores, and tailings, providing feedstock of suitable particle size for downstream equipment such as ball mills and magnetic separators.
- Construction Materials Industry: Crushes cement raw materials, limestone, sandstone, and other materials, meeting the strict particle size requirements of concrete aggregate production lines.
- Metallurgical Industry: Processes high-hardness alloy ores, such as manganese and chromite, to enhance smelting efficiency.
- Infrastructure Projects: Used for crushing and shaping stone materials for projects such as road paving and airport runways.
- Environmental Protection and Recycling: Crushes construction waste and industrial slag to facilitate resource recovery and reuse.
